PRマネージャーに洋服愛に溢れる熱い思いや
CANDYのそもそもの成り立ちを伺いました。
I had a chance to talk with PR manager Shogo Yanagi at Fake showroom.
もともとCANDYは新宿歌舞伎町２丁目が発祥の地でした。２丁目といえば言わずと知れたゲイエリア。ゲイの人たちってとってもおしゃれな人が多いのになんで二丁目にはブティックがないんだろう、そんなことから始まったのが始まりだったそう。
でもより多くの人に見てもらいたいという思いからこの渋谷に移転してきたのです。
渋谷といえばファストファッション激戦区。
They used to be tucked below ground in Shinjuku's 2-chime district where are famous as gay town. The former owner found that there is not much fashionable store in the district. This was a reason to start clothing shop in Shinjuku 2-chome as Candy.
Now they moved to Shibuya to let more people know about Candy. It doesn't mean they are not off the beaten track.
そんなショップの界隈にひっそりと
そんなリアルクローズこそ"FAKE（嘘）"なんじゃないの？
と問いかけるFAKE TOKYOがあります。
You can see most of fast fashion brands in Shibuya.
You can get any kinds of clothes without any efforts..
Is is real fashion? Isn't is FAKE?
That'a why they are challenging at alleyway of Shibuya.
お客様もあのLady GAGAやRiana、K-POPのスターたちが訪れているそう。
Lady GAGA, Riana and Korean Pop stars are visiting here.
日本がこんな前衛的なファッションを臆することなく発信していること、それを自信をもって選べるファッションピープルがいることを誇りに思う。
これからもそういう新しいこと、自分でいいと思った直感とセンスを発信し続ける日本のストリートファッションショップであってほしいな。
